Company History
1992
R&H Machine is proud to be a Texas-born business, with a history dating back to February 1, 1992. Opening with just one employee, $3,200, and a lot of hard work and dedication, Rae Burrows created quality solutions that allowed the company to grow quickly, doubling the space in 1995. Through word of mouth, quality work, and fast turnaround times, growth continued, and Rae added additions in 1997, 1999, and 2000.
2006
In November 2006, R&H Machine moved to its current location, a 26,880 sq. ft. manufacturing plant, located in Longview, TX. This expansion was needed to facilitate the complete machining support of a large railcar manufacturer.
2008
Being involved in the community is important to us, and since 2008, R&H Machine has supported and taken an active role in organizing the Great Texas Balloon Race! Sabine High School's sports divisions are always supported by a grateful team from our company. We are also an active member of the Longview Chamber of Commerce. R&H Machine is continually looking for opportunities to impact the community.

2012
In 2012, an additional 10,000 sq. ft. of fabrication space was added to the facility to meet customer demands. Our continued growth is due to our employees, who pride themselves in providing the best product they possibly can, each and every day.

2018
In 2018, the second generation of this family-grown business started paving the way for future success. Holly Richardson, the current owner, grew up with the company, learning from seasoned veterans. With her partners, Jerad Richardson and Brian Traywick, they are opening and implementing new business perspectives while maintaining the quality of deliverables that our customers have become accustomed to throughout the years!

Before R&H Machine
Burrows R&H Machine LLC was once Blalocks Machine Inc. Rae Burrows, the founder of the company, went to work for Jim and Paul at Blalocks Machine on March 6, 1984, and worked there until October 10, 1985. The oilfield was slowing down and Paul decided to go off into other ventures. Rae found another job. Jim and Rae remained friends through the years and Rae would help Jim from time to time when he needed help in the shop. Although Jim was mostly retired by 1990, he still did an occasional job for his main customers.

On July 3, 1991, there was a terrible auto accident in Kilgore, TX. That accident changed the course of the company, and people's lives forever. Jim, his wife, and their oldest grandson passed away from injuries sustained in the wreck. Rae lost some very dear friends. Paul and Kelly Blalock lost a large part of their heart and their family that day. It was a tragedy.

Paul had talked to Rae about buying the business early on in their friendship, and picked up the talk after this tragedy. Rae prayed daily that he would make the right decision. Paul and Rae worked out a deal, and R&H Machine was born.

If you think prayers don't work, guess again. It was tough, but Rae never ran from a challenge. With $3,200, his work ethic, and a prayer, Rae set out to build a company!
